He made the camels kneel down outside the city by the well of water; it was toward evening, the time when women go out to draw water.


As he looked, he saw a well in the field and three flocks of sheep lying there beside it; for out of that well the flocks were watered. The stone on the well's mouth was large,


and when all the flocks were gathered there, the shepherds would roll the stone from the mouth of the well, and water the sheep, and put the stone back in its place on the mouth of the well.


When I went out to the gate of the city, when I took my seat in the square,


They shall celebrate the fame of your abundant goodness, and shall sing aloud of your righteousness.


My mouth will tell of your righteous acts, of your deeds of salvation all day long, though their number is past my knowledge.


With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.


and a spirit of justice to the one who sits in judgment, and strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.


Stand in the gate of the Lord's house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the Lord, all you people of Judah, you that enter these gates to worship the Lord.


We must pay for the water we drink; the wood we get must be bought.
