I said, ‘Let days speak, and many years teach wisdom.’


“Can papyrus grow where there is no marsh? Can reeds flourish where there is no water?


for we are but of yesterday, and we know nothing, for our days on earth are but a shadow.


One generation shall laud your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.


The mind of the wise makes their speech judicious, and adds persuasiveness to their lips.


An intelligent mind acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.


The good person brings good things out of a good treasure, and the evil person brings evil things out of an evil treasure.


Teach them to your children, talking about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise.
