Gird your sword on your thigh, O mighty one, in your glory and majesty.


Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; the peoples fall under you.


Whoever is found will be thrust through, and whoever is caught will fall by the sword.


Raise a shout against her from all sides, “She has surrendered; her bulwarks have fallen, her walls are thrown down.” For this is the vengeance of the Lord: take vengeance on her, do to her as she has done.


You are my war club, my weapon of battle: with you I smash nations; with you I destroy kingdoms;


I am against you, O destroying mountain, says the Lord, that destroys the whole earth; I will stretch out my hand against you, and roll you down from the crags, and make you a burned-out mountain.


For the Lord is laying Babylon waste, and stilling her loud clamor. Their waves roar like mighty waters, the sound of their clamor resounds;


Is a trumpet blown in a city, and the people are not afraid? Does disaster befall a city, unless the Lord has done it?


therefore her plagues will come in a single day— pestilence and mourning and famine— and she will be burned with fire; for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.”
