But those who turn aside to their own crooked ways the Lord will lead away with evildoers. Peace be upon Israel!


who forsake the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness,


those whose paths are crooked, and who are devious in their ways.


The way of the guilty is crooked, but the conduct of the pure is right.


One who walks in integrity will be safe, but whoever follows crooked ways will fall into the Pit.


Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.


“There is no peace,” says the Lord, “for the wicked.”


For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the people of Judah are his pleasant planting; he expected justice, but saw bloodshed; righteousness, but heard a cry!


We all growl like bears; like doves we moan mournfully. We wait for justice, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far from us.


Therefore justice is far from us, and righteousness does not reach us; we wait for light, and lo! there is darkness; and for brightness, but we walk in gloom.
