For your name's sake, O Lord, preserve my life. In your righteousness bring me out of trouble.

Yet he, being compassionate, forgave their iniquity, and did not destroy them; often he restrained his anger, and did not stir up all his wrath.


Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of your name; deliver us, and forgive our sins, for your name's sake.


Those with good sense are slow to anger, and it is their glory to overlook an offense.
