He divided his forces against them by night, he and his servants, and routed them and pursued them to Hobah, north of Damascus.


From Betah and from Berothai, towns of Hadadezer, King David took a great amount of bronze.


So Solomon held the festival at that time, and all Israel with him—a great assembly, people from Lebo-hamath to the Wadi of Egypt—before the Lord our God, seven days.


When the Arameans of Damascus came to help King Hadadezer of Zobah, David killed twenty-two thousand Arameans.


Is not Calno like Carchemish? Is not Hamath like Arpad? Is not Samaria like Damascus?

So the boundary shall run from the sea to Hazar-enon, which is north of the border of Damascus, with the border of Hamath to the north. This shall be the north side.


On the east side, between Hauran and Damascus; along the Jordan between Gilead and the land of Israel; to the eastern sea and as far as Tamar. This shall be the east side.


On the west side, the Great Sea shall be the boundary to a point opposite Lebo-hamath. This shall be the west side.


These are the names of the tribes: Beginning at the northern border, on the Hethlon road, from Lebo-hamath, as far as Hazar-enon (which is on the border of Damascus, with Hamath to the north), and extending from the east side to the west, Dan, one portion.


Indeed, I am raising up against you a nation, O house of Israel, says the Lord, the God of hosts, and they shall oppress you from Lebo-hamath to the Wadi Arabah.


Hamath also, which borders on it, Tyre and Sidon, though they are very wise.
