There is severe discipline for one who forsakes the way, but one who hates a rebuke will die.


One who is often reproved, yet remains stubborn, will suddenly be broken beyond healing.


But if you warn the wicked, and they do not turn from their wickedness, or from their wicked way, they shall die for their iniquity; but you will have saved your life.


If, however, you warn the righteous not to sin, and they do not sin, they shall surely live, because they took warning; and you will have saved your life.


and if the sentinel sees the sword coming upon the land and blows the trumpet and warns the people;


then if any who hear the sound of the trumpet do not take warning, and the sword comes and takes them away, their blood shall be upon their own heads.


But if the sentinel sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any of them, they are taken away in their iniquity, but their blood I will require at the sentinel's hand.


That slave who knew what his master wanted, but did not prepare himself or do what was wanted, will receive a severe beating.


I told you that you would die in your sins, for you will die in your sins unless you believe that I am he.”


Beware, therefore, that what the prophets said does not happen to you:


‘Look, you scoffers! Be amazed and perish, for in your days I am doing a work, a work that you will never believe, even if someone tells you.’ ”


Then both Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying, “It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken first to you. Since you reject it and judge yourselves to be unworthy of eternal life, we are now turning to the Gentiles.


Therefore I declare to you this day that I am not responsible for the blood of any of you,


And we urge you, beloved, to admonish the idlers, encourage the faint hearted, help the weak, be patient with all of them.


See that you do not refuse the one who is speaking; for if they did not escape when they refused the one who warned them on earth, how much less will we escape if we reject the one who warns from heaven!


how can we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? It was declared at first through the Lord, and it was attested to us by those who heard him,
