before the Lord; for he is coming, for he is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with his truth.

“For the Son of Man is to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay everyone for what has been done.


So he said, “A nobleman went to a distant country to get royal power for himself and then return.


When he returned, having received royal power, he ordered these slaves, to whom he had given the money, to be summoned so that he might find out what they had gained by trading.


Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”


He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one ordained by God as judge of the living and the dead.


because he has fixed a day on which he will have the world judged in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed, and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.”


on the day when, according to my gospel, God, through Jesus Christ, will judge the secret thoughts of all.


When Christ who is your life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory.


And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will destroy with the breath of his mouth, annihilating him by the manifestation of his coming.


In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of the elect angels, I warn you to keep these instructions without prejudice, doing nothing on the basis of partiality.


but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.


Remind them of this, and warn them before God that they are to avoid wrangling over words, which does no good but only ruins those who are listening.


The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and save me for his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.


From now on there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.


while we wait for the blessed hope and the manifestation of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.


so that the genuineness of your faith—being more precious than gold that, though perishable, is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.


But they will have to give an accounting to him who stands ready to judge the living and the dead.


And when the chief shepherd appears, you will win the crown of glory that never fades away.


For in this way, entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly provided for you.


For he received honor and glory from God the Father when that voice was conveyed to him by the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is my Son, my Beloved, with whom I am well pleased.”


And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he is revealed we may have confidence and not be put to shame before him at his coming.


Look! He is coming with the clouds; every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and on his account all the tribes of the earth will wail. So it is to be. Amen.
