I told them that the hand of my God had been gracious upon me, and also the words that the king had spoken to me. Then they said, “Let us start building!” So they committed themselves to the common good.


Now in Joppa there was a disciple whose name was Tabitha, which in Greek is Dorcas. She was devoted to good works and acts of charity.


And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.


For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life.


But as for you, man of God, shun all this; pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, gentleness.


All who cleanse themselves of the things I have mentioned will become special utensils, dedicated and useful to the owner of the house, ready for every good work.


They profess to know God, but they deny him by their actions. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.


He it is who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify for himself a people of his own who are zealous for good deeds.


Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work,


And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds,


make you complete in everything good so that you may do his will, working among us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
