The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked, and his soul hates the lover of violence.


By their wickedness they make the king glad, and the officials by their treachery.


you who hate the good and love the evil, who tear the skin off my people, and the flesh off their bones;


When they heard it, they were greatly pleased, and promised to give him money. So he began to look for an opportunity to betray him.


The one who believes and is baptized will be saved; but the one who does not believe will be condemned.


Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but must endure God's wrath.


They know God's decree, that those who practice such things deserve to die—yet they not only do them but even applaud others who practice them.


Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good;


while for those who are self-seeking and who obey not the truth but wickedness, there will be wrath and fury.


it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth.


Vengeance is mine, and recompense, for the time when their foot shall slip; because the day of their calamity is at hand, their doom comes swiftly.


For God has destined us not for wrath but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,


and every kind of wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.


And in their greed they will exploit you with deceptive words. Their condemnation, pronounced against them long ago, has not been idle, and their destruction is not asleep.


Beloved, do not imitate what is evil but imitate what is good. Whoever does good is from God; whoever does evil has not seen God.
