David said to Abishai and to all his servants, “My own son seeks my life; how much more now may this Benjaminite! Let him alone, and let him curse; for the Lord has bidden him.


As he was worshiping in the house of his god Nisroch, his sons Adrammelech and Sharezer killed him with the sword, and they escaped into the land of Ararat. His son Esar-haddon succeeded him.


And the Lord sent an angel who cut off all the mighty warriors and commanders and officers in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned in disgrace to his own land. When he came into the house of his god, some of his own sons struck him down there with the sword.


But if someone willfully attacks and kills another by treachery, you shall take the killer from my altar for execution.


If you curse father or mother, your lamp will go out in utter darkness.


If someone is burdened with the blood of another, let that killer be a fugitive until death; let no one offer assistance.


Anyone who robs father or mother and says, “That is no crime,” is partner to a thug.


There are those who curse their fathers and do not bless their mothers.


The eye that mocks a father and scorns to obey a mother will be pecked out by the ravens of the valley and eaten by the vultures.


Both prophet and priest are ungodly; even in my house I have found their wickedness, says the Lord.


As for you, vile, wicked prince of Israel, you whose day has come, the time of final punishment,


All who curse father or mother shall be put to death; having cursed father or mother, their blood is upon them.


Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death;


slanderers, God-haters, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, rebellious toward parents,


For the promise that he would inherit the world did not come to Abraham or to his descendants through the law but through the righteousness of faith.


But law came in, with the result that the trespass multiplied; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,


For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.


Why then the law? It was added because of transgressions, until the offspring would come to whom the promise had been made; and it was ordained through angels by a mediator.


But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not subject to the law.


envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these. I am warning you, as I warned you before: those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

“Cursed be anyone who dishonors father or mother.” All the people shall say, “Amen!”

Have nothing to do with profane myths and old wives' tales. Train yourself in godliness,


Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid the profane chatter and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge;


Avoid profane chatter, for it will lead people into more and more impiety,


For people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,


There are also many rebellious people, idle talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision;


They profess to know God, but they deny him by their actions. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.


someone who is blameless, married only once, whose children are believers, not accused of debauchery and not rebellious.


For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, despicable, hating one another.

to execute judgment on all, and to convict everyone of all the deeds of ungodliness that they have committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”


But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the polluted, the murderers, the fornicators, the sorcerers, the idolaters, and all liars, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”


Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and fornicators and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
