So the presidents and the satraps tried to find grounds for complaint against Daniel in connection with the kingdom. But they could find no grounds for complaint or any corruption, because he was faithful, and no negligence or corruption could be found in him.


“Blessed are you when people revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.


Therefore I do my best always to have a clear conscience toward God and all people.


But we would like to hear from you what you think, for with regard to this sect we know that everywhere it is spoken against.”


I am speaking the truth in Christ—I am not lying; my conscience confirms it by the Holy Spirit—
