But when all goes well with you, remember me and show me kindness; mention me to Pharaoh and get me out of this prison.


You will eat the fruit of your labour; blessings and prosperity will be yours.


If anyone is worried that he might not be acting honourably towards the virgin he is engaged to, and if his passions are too strong and he feels he ought to marry, he should do as he wants. He is not sinning. They should get married.


Keep his decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the Lord your God gives you for all time.


So I counsel younger widows to marry, to have children, to manage their homes and to give the enemy no opportunity for slander.


Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.


May the Lord grant that each of you will find rest in the home of another husband.’ Then she kissed them goodbye and they wept aloud


So Ruth stayed close to the women of Boaz to glean until the barley and wheat harvests were finished. And she lived with her mother-in-law.


Now Boaz, with whose women you have worked, is a relative of ours. Tonight he will be winnowing barley on the threshing-floor.
