The whole assembly bowed in worship, while the musicians played and the trumpets sounded. All this continued until the sacrifice of the burnt offering was completed.


When the offerings were finished, the king and everyone present with him knelt down and worshipped.


King Hezekiah and his officials ordered the Levites to praise the Lord with the words of David and of Asaph the seer. So they sang praises with gladness and bowed down and worshipped.


Praise be to the Lord, the God of our ancestors, who has put it into the king’s heart to bring honour to the house of the Lord in Jerusalem in this way


Your troops will be willing on your day of battle. Arrayed in holy splendour, your young men will come to you like dew from the morning’s womb.


Tremble, earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,


Ascribe to the Lord the glory due to his name; worship the Lord in the splendour of his holiness.


Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the people of the world revere him.


Make vows to the Lord your God and fulfil them; let all the neighbouring lands bring gifts to the One to be feared.


It is you alone who are to be feared. Who can stand before you when you are angry?


The Lord reigns, let the nations tremble; he sits enthroned between the cherubim, let the earth shake.


They took pride in their beautiful jewellery and used it to make their detestable idols. They made it into vile images; therefore I will make it a thing unclean for them.


He will pitch his royal tents between the seas at the beautiful holy mountain. Yet he will come to his end, and no-one will help him.
