The memory of him perishes from the earth; he has no name in the land.


he will perish for ever, like his own dung; those who have seen him will say, “Where is he?”


All day long my enemies taunt me; those who rail against me use my name as a curse.


Those who want to kill me set their traps, those who would harm me talk of my ruin; all day long they scheme and lie.


For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.


Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb; you taught me wisdom in that secret place.


My adversaries pursue me all day long; in their pride many are attacking me.


I cry out to God Most High, to God, who vindicates me.


so that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations.


Turn to me and have mercy on me; show your strength on behalf of your servant; save me, because I serve you just as my mother did.


have mercy on me, Lord, for I call to you all day long.


The name of the righteous is used in blessings, but the name of the wicked will rot.
