Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labour in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.


The Lord protects and preserves them – they are counted among the blessed in the land – he does not give them over to the desire of their foes.


But you, God, will bring down the wicked into the pit of decay; the bloodthirsty and deceitful will not live out half their days. But as for me, I trust in you.
