David built an altar to the Lord there and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. Then the Lord answered his prayer on behalf of the land, and the plague on Israel was stopped.


But Phinehas stood up and intervened, and the plague was checked.


So each of them took his censer, put burning coals and incense in it, and stood with Moses and Aaron at the entrance to the tent of meeting.


And fire came out from the Lord and consumed the 250 men who were offering the incense.


So Aaron did as Moses said, and ran into the midst of the assembly. The plague had already started among the people, but Aaron offered the incense and made atonement for them.


But 14,700 people died from the plague, in addition to those who had died because of Korah.


Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, ‘See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.’


and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead – Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.


Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
