Those who trust in their riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.


The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful.


And he said: ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.


When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth.


‘Which of the two did what his father wanted?’ ‘The first,’ they answered. Jesus said to them, ‘Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you.


For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
