and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure,


He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.


‘The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.


‘Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls.


‘Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish.


However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me – the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.


May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
