But Abram said to the king of Sodom, ‘With raised hand I have sworn an oath to the Lord, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth,


And Hezekiah prayed to the Lord: ‘Lord, the God of Israel, enthroned between the cherubim, you alone are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.


Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.


Therefore, people revere him, for does he not have regard for all the wise in heart?’


Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.


Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight.
