When John, who was in prison, heard about the deeds of the Messiah, he sent his disciples


and he said to his attendants, ‘This is John the Baptist; he has risen from the dead! That is why miraculous powers are at work in him.’


When Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, he withdrew to Galilee.


From that time on Jesus began to preach, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.’


Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and illness among the people.

Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God –


He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.
