Her neighbours and relatives heard that the Lord had shown her great mercy, and they shared her joy.


In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.’


For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.” So they began to celebrate.


And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders


I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who do not need to repent.


You are my friends if you do what I command.


The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete.

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, dear friends!


For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you?


Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.


For ‘you were like sheep going astray,’ but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
