They will come and shout for joy on the heights of Zion; they will rejoice in the bounty of the Lord – the grain, the new wine and the olive oil, the young of the flocks and herds. They will be like a well-watered garden, and they will sorrow no more.


I will provide for them a land renowned for its crops, and they will no longer be victims of famine in the land or bear the scorn of the nations.


No longer will I make you hear the taunts of the nations, and no longer will you suffer the scorn of the peoples or cause your nation to fall, declares the Sovereign Lord.” ’


I will save you from all your uncleanness. I will call for the corn and make it plentiful and will not bring famine upon you.


I will increase the fruit of the trees and the crops of the field, so that you will no longer suffer disgrace among the nations because of famine.


I will no longer hide my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit on the people of Israel, declares the Sovereign Lord.’


There I will give her back her vineyards, and will make the Valley of Achor a door of hope. There she will respond as in the days of her youth, as in the day she came up out of Egypt.


‘In that day I will respond,’ declares the Lord – ‘I will respond to the skies, and they will respond to the earth;


and the earth will respond to the grain, the new wine and the olive oil, and they will respond to Jezreel.


The fields are ruined, the ground is dried up; the grain is destroyed, the new wine is dried up, the olive oil fails.


The threshing-floors will be filled with grain; the vats will overflow with new wine and oil.


Your threshing will continue until grape harvest and the grape harvest will continue until planting, and you will eat all the food you want and live in safety in your land.


‘The seed will grow well, the vine will yield its fruit, the ground will produce its crops, and the heavens will drop their dew. I will give all these things as an inheritance to the remnant of this people.


But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.


then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your corn, new wine and olive oil.
