May the Lord give you discretion and understanding when he puts you in command over Israel, so that you may keep the law of the Lord your God.


Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?’


Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb; you taught me wisdom in that secret place.


and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills –


Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. ‘I have given ability to all the skilled workers to make everything I have commanded you:

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.


But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.


Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.


and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.
