The warder paid no attention to anything under Joseph’s care, because the Lord was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he did.


Joseph found favour in his eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned.


My son, if sinful men entice you, do not give in to them.


One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.


For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.


The mouth of an adulterous woman is a deep pit; a man who is under the Lord’s wrath falls into it.


So is he who sleeps with another man’s wife; no-one who touches her will go unpunished.


They will keep you from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words.
