9 ‘As I looked, ‘thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool. His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze.

But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne.


Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.

who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no-one has seen or can see. To him be honour and might for ever. Amen.


This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.


The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire.

I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshipped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.


At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it.
