May his name endure for ever; may it continue as long as the sun. Then all nations will be blessed through him, and they will call him blessed.


‘I have surely heard Ephraim’s moaning: “You disciplined me like an unruly calf, and I have been disciplined. Restore me, and I will return, because you are the Lord my God.


She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.’


He answered, ‘I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.’


and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.


You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews.


But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.’


‘Fellow children of Abraham and you God-fearing Gentiles, it is to us that this message of salvation has been sent.


But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.


God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of it.


First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and then to the Gentiles, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and demonstrate their repentance by their deeds.


The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. You handed him over to be killed, and you disowned him before Pilate, though he had decided to let him go.


You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.
