He said to me, ‘Son of man, stand up on your feet and I will speak to you.’


He said, ‘Daniel, you who are highly esteemed, consider carefully the words I am about to speak to you, and stand up, for I have now been sent to you.’ And when he said this to me, I stood up trembling.


just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word.


He was one of our number and shared in our ministry.’


to take over this apostolic ministry, which Judas left to go where he belongs.’


However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me – the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.


Paul greeted them and reported in detail what God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.


‘ “What shall I do, Lord?” I asked. ‘  “Get up,” the Lord said, “and go into Damascus. There you will be told all that you have been assigned to do.”


The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, ‘Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.’


‘Then I asked, “Who are you, Lord?” ‘  “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” the Lord replied.


and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.’


Through him we received grace and apostleship to call all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith for his name’s sake.


to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles. He gave me the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.


Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart.


All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:


I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.


I went in response to a revelation and, meeting privately with those esteemed as leaders, I presented to them the gospel that I preach among the Gentiles. I wanted to be sure I was not running and had not been running my race in vain.


that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly.


if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.


I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness –


You learned it from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf,


We sent Timothy, who is our brother and co-worker in God’s service in spreading the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you in your faith,


I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me trustworthy, appointing me to his service.


If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed.


But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.
