All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him,


He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.


Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands, and all who live in them.


he says: ‘It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.’


The Lord will lay bare his holy arm in the sight of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.


‘I will set a sign among them, and I will send some of those who survive to the nations – to Tarshish, to the Libyans and Lydians (famous as archers), to Tubal and Greece, and to the distant islands that have not heard of my fame or seen my glory. They will proclaim my glory among the nations.


Lord, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in time of distress, to you the nations will come from the ends of the earth and say, ‘Our ancestors possessed nothing but false gods, worthless idols that did them no good.


But as for me, I am filled with power, with the Spirit of the Lord, and with justice and might, to declare to Jacob his transgression, to Israel his sin.


So he said to me, ‘This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,” says the Lord Almighty.


And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.


Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,


He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.


The angel answered, ‘The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.


I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.


But they urged him strongly, ‘Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over.’ So he went in to stay with them.


And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning.


beginning from John’s baptism to the time when Jesus was taken up from us. For one of these must become a witness with us of his resurrection.’


For John baptised with water, but in a few days you will be baptised with the Holy Spirit.’


and for many days he was seen by those who had travelled with him from Galilee to Jerusalem. They are now his witnesses to our people.


God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of it.


You will be his witness to all people of what you have seen and heard.


You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.


With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all


We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.’


Now Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power, performed great wonders and signs among the people.


And Saul approved of their killing him. On that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria.


But I ask: did they not hear? Of course they did: ‘Their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.’


by the power of signs and wonders, through the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem all the way round to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.


if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.
