For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: “The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the Lord sends rain on the land.” ’


The man of God was angry with him and said, ‘You should have struck the ground five or six times; then you would have defeated Aram and completely destroyed it. But now you will defeat it only three times.’


She left him and shut the door behind her and her sons. They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring.


And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.


They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.

Then he touched their eyes and said, ‘According to your faith let it be done to you’;


and the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them all.


When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, ‘Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.’


The manna stopped the day after they ate this food from the land; there was no longer any manna for the Israelites, but that year they ate the produce of Canaan.
