7 Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.

The husband should fulfil his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband.


This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.


And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.


However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.


And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.


Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.


that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honourable,


so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.


Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?


Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behaviour of their wives,
