Proverbs 1:1

And Solomon sat upon the throne of David his father. And his kingdom was firmly established.


And Jehovah gave Solomon wisdom, as He promised him. And there was peace between Hiram and Solomon. And the two of them made a treaty together.


Behold, a son shall be born to you who shall be a man of rest. And I will give him rest from all his enemies all around. For his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days.


And of all my sons (for Jehovah has given me many sons), He has chosen Solomon my son to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.


And Solomon sat on the throne of Jehovah as king in place of David his father. And he was blessed, and all Israel obeyed him.


And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honor. And Solomon his son reigned in his place.


The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a glad father; but a foolish son is the sorrow of his mother.
