I say this lest perhaps Macedonians should come with me and find you unprepared. We (not to say you) would then be put to shame in this confident boasting.


I have confidence in you in the Lord, that you will think nothing else, but that he troubling you shall bear the judgment, whoever he may be.


for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.


that you may distinguish between things that differ, that you may be sincere and without offense until the day of Jesus Christ,


For to you it is given on behalf of Christ not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for His sake,


Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, cultivate your own salvation with fear and trembling.


For it is God who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.


holding forth the Word of Life, so that I may rejoice with you in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain nor labored in vain.


buried with Him in baptism, in whom also you were raised through the faith of the working of God, raising Him from the dead.


remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father,


Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of the calling and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power,


And we have confidence in the Lord regarding you, that you both do and will do the things which we command you.


Trusting to your obedience, I wrote to you, knowing that you will do even beyond what I say.


Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great recompense of reward.


looking to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right of the throne of God.


But the God of all grace, He calling us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little, He will perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.


But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a rushing noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat. And the earth and the works in it will be burned up.
