I am a laughing-stock to his friends; who calls on God, and He answers him; the just, the upright one is a mockery;


So says Jehovah, the Redeemer of Israel, His Holy One, to Him whom man despises, to Him whom the nation hates, the servant of rulers: Kings shall see and arise, rulers also shall worship, because of Jehovah who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, and He shall choose You.


He is despised and rejected of men; a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as it were a hiding of faces from Him, He being despised, and we esteemed Him not.


And they laughed at Him. But when He had put them all out, He took the father and the mother of the child, and those with Him, and went in where the child was lying.


And they ridiculed, knowing that she was dead.


When Jesus heard, He said, This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, so that the Son of God might be glorified by it.
