The sorrows of death hemmed me in, and the pains of hell took hold on me; I found trouble and sorrow.


Why are you cast down, O my soul, and moan within me? Hope in God; for I shall praise Him for the salvation of His face.


I have put off My coat; How shall I put it on? I have washed my feet; how shall I defile them?


Yet it pleased Jehovah to crush Him; to grieve Him; that He should put forth His soul as a guilt-offering. He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the will of Jehovah shall prosper in His hand.


Therefore I will divide to Him with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong; because He has poured out His soul to death; and He was counted among the transgressors; and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for transgressors.


He is despised and rejected of men; a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as it were a hiding of faces from Him, He being despised, and we esteemed Him not.


Therefore watch, for you do not know either the day or the hour in which the Son of Man comes.


And He said to them, My soul is exceedingly sorrowful to death. Stay here and watch.


And My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save Me from this hour? But for this cause I came to this hour.


Truly He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?


For He has made Him who knew no sin, to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.


Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone having been hanged on a tree");


He Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that dying to sins, we might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed.


For Christ also once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, indeed being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the Spirit;


But the end of all things has drawn near. Therefore be of sound mind, and be sensible to prayers.
