And when Abram was ninety-nine years old, Jehovah appeared to Abram and said to him, I am the Almighty God! Walk before Me and be perfect.


These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.


There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job. And that man was perfect and upright, and one who feared God and turned aside from evil.


Watch the perfect and behold the upright one; for the end of that man is peace.


Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.


The young man said to Him, I have kept all these things from my youth up; what do I lack yet?


But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful; for he had great possessions.


And Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration, when the Son of Man shall sit in the throne of His glory, you also shall sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.


And He said to them, Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.


Therefore be perfect, even as your Father in Heaven is perfect.


But Jesus said to him, Follow Me, and let the dead bury their dead.


And as Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax-office. And He said to him, Follow Me! And he arose and followed Him.


Then Jesus, beholding him, loved him and said to him, One thing you lack. Go, sell whatever you have and give it to the poor, and you shall have treasure in Heaven. And come, take up the cross and follow Me.


And as He passed on, He saw Levi the son of Alpheus sitting at the tax-office. And He said to him, Follow Me. And he arose and followed Him.


And calling near the crowd with His disciples, He said to them, Whoever will come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.


Sell what you have and give alms. Make for yourselves purses which do not become old, an unfailing treasure in Heaven, where no thief comes nor moth corrupts.


So then, everyone of you who does not forsake all his possessions, he cannot be My disciple.


And I say to you, Make friends by the mammon of unrighteousness for yourselves, so that when you fail, they may receive you into everlasting dwellings.


And when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, Yet you lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you shall have treasure in Heaven. And come, follow Me.


And after these things He went out and saw a tax-collector named Levi, sitting at the tax-office. And He said to him, Follow Me.


The disciple is not above his master, but everyone who is perfect shall be like his master.


And He said to all, If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me.


My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.


If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there also My servant shall be. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.


And they sold their possessions and goods and distributed them to all, according as anyone had need.


For you both sympathized with my bonds and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that you have in Heaven a better and an enduring substance.
