Then Peter took Him and began to rebuke Him, saying, God be gracious to You, Lord! This shall never be to You.


And they asked Him, saying, Why do the scribes say that Elijah must first come?


But they did not understand that saying and were afraid to ask Him.


And as they came down from the mountain, He commanded them that they should tell no one the things that they had seen until the Son of Man had risen from the dead.


But His disciples did not know these things at the first. But when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and that they had done these things to Him.


And certain philosophers from the Epicureans and from the Stoics met him. And some said, What will this babbler say? And others said, He seems to be an announcer of foreign demons (because he preached Jesus and the resurrection to them).
