And when he comes to see me, he speaks vanity; his heart gathers iniquity to itself; he goes out and speaks of it.


Woe to those who plot wickedness and prepare evil on their beds! When the morning is light they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand.


But the things which come out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile the man.


But He answered and said, It is written, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God."


There is nothing from outside a man which entering into him can defile him. But the things which come out of him, those are the ones that defile the man.


For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,


All these evil things pass out from inside and defile the man.


But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises.


And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. So the tongue is set among our members, spotting all the body and inflaming the course of nature, and being inflamed by hell.


From where do wars and fightings among you come? Is it not from this, from your lusts which war in your members?
