Whoever walks uprightly shall be saved; but he who is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.


And they come to you as the people come, and they sit before you as My people, and they hear your words. But they will not do them. For with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goes after their unjust gain.


I will not punish your daughters when they fornicate, nor your wives when they commit adultery. For the men themselves go aside with harlots, and they sacrifice with temple prostitutes. The people who do not understand are thrown down.


Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, observe and do. But do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do.


And then many will be offended, and will betray one another, and will hate one another.


But they have no root in themselves, but are temporary. Afterward when affliction or persecution arises for the Word's sake, they are immediately offended.


And that servant who knew his lord's will and did not prepare, nor did according to His will, shall be beaten with many stripes.


But his citizens hated him. And they sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this one to reign over us.


But those who are my enemies, who did not desire that I should reign over them, bring them here and slay them before me.


And why do you call Me Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say?


He is like a man who built a house and dug deep and laid the foundation on a rock; and a flood occurring, the stream burst against that house and could not shake it; for it was founded on a rock.


And when He had ended all His words in the ears of the people, He entered into Capernaum.


Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away. And every one that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bring forth more fruit.


For I know this, that after my departure grievous wolves shall enter in among you, not sparing the flock.


And I punished them often in every synagogue; I compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly furious against them, I persecuted them even to the outside cities.


For this cause, when I could no longer endure, I also sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter may have tempted you and our labor may have been in vain.


For if they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the full knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and are again entangled, they have been overcome by these, their last things are worse than the first.


They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they were of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out so that it might be revealed that they were not all of us.
