These are the names of the mighty men whom David had: Josheb-basshebeth the Tachmonite, chief of the three; he was called Adino the Eznite, because of the eight hundred he killed at one time.


And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all who were with them. For they cried to God in the battle, and He was pleased to hear them, because they put their trust in Him.


For many fell down slain, because the war was of God. And they lived in their places until the captivity.


A Psalm of David. Strive, O Jehovah, with those who strive with me; fight against those who fight against me.


Jehovah of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.


Jehovah shall fight for you, and you shall be silent.


One thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five you shall flee, until you are left as a pole on the top of a mountain, and as a sign on a hill.


And you shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.


And five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight. And your enemies shall fall by the sword in front of you.


In that day Jehovah shall defend around the people of Jerusalem. And it will be, he who is feeble among them at that day shall be like David; and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of Jehovah before them.


What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?


and shall say to them, Hear, O, Israel, today you go up to battle against your enemies. Do not let your hearts faint, do not fear, and do not tremble, neither be terrified before their faces.


For Jehovah your God is He who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.


Jehovah shall cause your enemies that rise up against you to be stricken before your face. They shall come out against you one way, and flee before you seven ways.


You shall not fear them. For Jehovah your God shall fight for you.


And He said, I will hide My face from them; I will see what their end shall be. For they are a very perverse generation, sons in whom is no faithfulness.


How shall one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them and Jehovah had shut them up?


And Joshua took all these kings and their land at one time, because Jehovah, the God of Israel fought for Israel.


And take good heed to yourselves that you love Jehovah your God.


And you have seen all that Jehovah your God has done to all these nations because of you. For Jehovah your God is He who has fought for you.


And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand and took it, and killed a thousand men with it.


And after him was Shamgar the son of Anath, who killed six hundred men of the Philistines with an ox goad. And he also delivered Israel.


And Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, Come, and let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised ones. It may be that Jehovah will work for us. For there is no restraint to Jehovah, to save by many or by few.
