And in the fourteenth year Chedorlaomer and the kings that were with him came and struck the giants in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham, and the Emim in Shaveh Kiriathaim,


And the first-born bore a son, and called his name Moab. He is the father of the Moabites to this day.


And now, behold, the sons of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir, whom You would not let Israel invade when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them and did not destroy them,


For the hand of Jehovah shall rest in this mountain, and Moab shall be trampled under Him, even as straw is trampled in the water of a dung pit.


And the fortress of the high fort of your walls He will lay low, bring to the ground, to the dust.


I Jehovah keep it; I will water it every moment; lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.


Edom, and Moab, and the sons of Ammon,


And send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the Ammonites, and to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon, by the hand of the messengers who came to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah.
