But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, you are about to die, for the woman whom you have taken; for she is a man's wife.


And he dreamed. And behold! A ladder was set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to Heaven! And behold! The angels of God were ascending and descending on it!


And Laban said to him, Surely you are my bone and my flesh. And he stayed with him for a month.


And he fled with all that was his. And he rose up and passed over the river, and set his face toward Mount Gilead.


Yet the chief cupbearer did not remember Joseph, but forgot him.


And they dreamed a dream, both of them, each man his dream in one night, each man according to the interpretation of his dream, the cupbearer and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were bound in the prison.


And behold! There came up out of the river seven cows beautiful of form, and fat of flesh. And they fed in the reeds!


On that night the king could not sleep, and he commanded to bring the Book of the Records of the Matter of the Days. And they were read before the king.


And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born you shall cast into the river, and every daughter you shall save alive.


And also it will be, if they will not believe these two signs, neither listen to your voice, then you shall take from the water of the river and pour it upon the dry land. And the water which you take out of the river shall become blood on the dry land.


And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall fail and dry up.


Speak and say, So says the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I, even I, am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon who lies in the midst of his rivers, who has said, My river is mine, and I have made it.


And the land of Egypt shall be a desert and waste; and they shall know that I am Jehovah, because he has said, The river is mine, and I have made it.


But as he was sitting down on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying, Have nothing to do with that just man, for today because of Him I have suffered many things in a dream.


For the land into which you go to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt from which you came out, where you sowed your seed and watered it with your foot, like a garden of herbs.
