And the chief cupbearer told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, In my dream, behold, a vine was before me.


And Joseph said to Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one. God has shown Pharaoh what He is about to do.


If there is a messenger for him, a mediator, one among a thousand, to declare for man his uprightness,


The secret of Jehovah is with those who fear Him; and He will show them His covenant.


And when they shall say to you, Seek to the mediums and to wizards who peep and mutter; should not a people seek to their God, than for the living to the dead?


And it is a rare thing that the king asks, and there is no other who can reveal it before the king, except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh.


Daniel answered before the king and said, The secret which the king has demanded cannot be shown to the king by the wise men, the conjurers, the horoscopists, or the fortune-tellers.


But there is a God in Heaven who reveals secrets and makes known to King Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Your dream, and the visions of your head upon your bed are these.


And the king said to them, I have dreamed a dream, and my spirit was troubled to know the dream.


The king answered Daniel and said, It is true that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret.


But at last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods. And I told the dream before him, saying,


And I have heard of you that you can interpret meanings and unravel knots. Now if you can read the writing, and reveal its meaning to me, you shall be clothed with scarlet and have a chain of gold around your neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.


For the Lord Jehovah will do nothing unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.
