And God said, Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to divide between the day and the night. And let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years.


And God said, Let the waters swarm with swarmers having a living soul; and let birds fly over the earth on the face of the expanse of the heavens.


By His Spirit the heavens were beautiful; His hand pierced the fleeing serpent.


Also He loads the clouds with moisture; He scatters the lightning cloud,


Have you beat out the expanse with Him, hard like a cast mirror?


covering Yourself with light as with a robe; and stretching out the heavens like a curtain;


Praise Him, heavens of heavens, and waters that are above the heavens.


Praise Jehovah. Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in the expanse of His power.


To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the expanse proclaims His handiwork.


Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.


By the Word of Jehovah were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.


For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood.


If the clouds are full of rain, they empty on the earth; and if the tree falls toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falls, there it shall be.


It is He who sits on the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in;


But Jehovah is the true God, He is the living God, and the everlasting King. At His wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to stand His fury.


He has made the earth by His power; He has established the world by His wisdom, and has stretched out the heavens by His understanding.


The burden of the Word of Jehovah for Israel, says Jehovah, who stretches forth the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him.


For this is hidden from them by their willing it, that the heavens were of old, and the earth out of the water, and through water, being held together by the Word of God,
