They asked, and He brought quail, and satisfied them with the food of heaven.


Trust in Jehovah, and do good; you shall dwell in the land, and you shall be fed on truth.


But He answered and said, It is written, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God."


And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written that "man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word of God."


and all ate the same spiritual food,


And I have led you forty years in the wilderness. Your clothes have not become old on you, and your shoe has not become old on your foot.


You have not eaten bread, neither have you drunk wine or strong drink, so that you might know that I am Jehovah your God.


For it is not a vain thing for you, because it is your life. And by this Word you shall prolong your days in the land where you go over Jordan, there to possess it.


When I had gone up into the mountain to receive the tablets of stone, the tablets of the covenant which Jehovah made with you, then I stayed in the mountain forty days and forty nights. I neither ate bread nor drank water.
