On that night the king could not sleep, and he commanded to bring the Book of the Records of the Matter of the Days. And they were read before the king.


The Word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah. It was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon;


And the king said to them, I have dreamed a dream, and my spirit was troubled to know the dream.


It seemed good before me to declare the signs and wonders that the Most High God has done with me.


I saw a dream and it terrified me, and the thoughts on my bed and the visions of my head troubled me.


Then King Belshazzar was greatly troubled, and his face was changing in him, and his lords were perplexed.


Then the king went to his palace and spent the night fasting. And diversions were not brought before him; and his sleep fled from him.


In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream and visions of his head on his bed. Then he wrote the dream and gave the sum of the matters.


I Daniel was distressed in my spirit in its body, and the visions of my head troubled me.
