For the turning away of the simple kills them, and the ease of fools destroys them.


who say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Do not prophesy to us right things, speak to us smooth things, prophesy falsehood;


But they refused to listen, and gave a stubborn shoulder, and made heavy their ears from hearing.


for this people's heart has become gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and they have closed their eyes, lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them."


And crying out with a loud voice, they stopped their ears and ran on him with one accord.


And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie,


nor to give heed to fables and endless genealogies (which provide doubts rather than the nurture of God in faith).
