And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, There is still one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of Jehovah. But I hate him, for he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.


And Jehovah said to Moses, Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.


To whom He said, This is the rest; cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing. Yet they were not willing to hear.


who say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Do not prophesy to us right things, speak to us smooth things, prophesy falsehood;


Then they said, Come and let us plot schemes against Jeremiah. For the Law shall not perish from the priest, nor wisdom from the wise, nor the Word from the prophet. Come and let us strike him with the tongue, and let us not pay attention to any of his words.


As for you, do not listen to your prophets, nor to your fortune tellers, nor to your dreamers, nor to your conjurers, nor to your sorcerers, who speak to you, saying, You shall not serve the king of Babylon.


For so says Jehovah of Hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets and your fortune-tellers in your midst deceive you, nor listen to your dreams which you dream.


The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so, and what will you do at the end of it?


If a man walks with wind and lies falsely, saying, I will drop words to you for wine and for strong drink, he shall even be a dropper of words for this people.


And the chief priests and the scribes sought to lay hands on Him the same hour. And they feared the people, for they perceived that He had spoken this parable against them.


Woe to you when all men shall speak well of you! For so their fathers did to the false prophets.


And because I tell you the truth, you do not believe Me.

And I, brothers, when I came to you, did not come with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring to you the testimony of God.


And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,


So then did I become your enemy speaking to you the truth?


for fornicators, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and anything else that is contrary to sound doctrine,


Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.


because they told you that at the last time there will be mockers according to their lusts, leading ungodly lives.
