And Uriah said to David, The ark and Israel and Judah abide in tents. And my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are camped in the open fields. Shall I then go to my house to eat and to drink and to lie with my wife? As you live, and as your soul lives, I will not do this thing.


And Jehovah sent Nathan to David. And he came to him and said to him, There were two men in one city, one rich and one poor.


And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers, and cedar trees, and carpenters, and masons to David. And they built David a house.


And they brought in the ark of Jehovah and set it in its place in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it. And David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before Jehovah.


According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David.


And lo, she was still talking with the king, and Nathan the prophet came in.


But Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and Nathan the prophet, and Shimei, and Rei, and David's mighty men, were not with Adonijah.


And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers, and Zabud the son of Nathan was the minister and the king's friend.


And it was in the heart of my father David to build a house for the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel.

But the ark of God David had brought up from Kirjath-jearim to the place which David had prepared for it, for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.
