And they returned, and came to En–mish´pat, which is Kadesh, and smote all the country of the Amal´ekites, and also the Amorites, that dwelt in Haz´azon–ta´mar.


The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness; the Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.


And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.


And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him.


Then said his sister to Pharaoh's daughter, Shall I go and call to thee a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for thee?


And the south side southward, from Tamar even to the waters of strife in Kadesh, the river to the great sea. And this is the south side southward.


For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of servants; and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.


And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.


And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.


And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.


So they went up, and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, as men come to Hamath.


And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land.


and when we cried unto the Lord, he heard our voice, and sent an angel, and hath brought us forth out of Egypt: and, behold, we are in Kadesh, a city in the uttermost of thy border.


And the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, journeyed from Kadesh, and came unto mount Hor.


And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Ele-a´zar his son; and Aaron died there in the top of the mount: and Moses and Ele-a´zar came down from the mount.


And the name of Amram's wife was Joch´ebed, the daughter of Levi, whom her mother bare to Levi in Egypt: and she bare unto Amram, Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister.


For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Mer´ibah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.


And they removed from E´zi-on–ge´ber, and pitched in the wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh.


So ye abode in Kadesh many days, according unto the days that ye abode there.


And the space in which we came from Ka´desh–barne´a, until we were come over the brook Zered, was thirty and eight years; until all the generation of the men of war were wasted out from among the host, as the Lord sware unto them.


because ye trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of Mer´ibah–Ka´desh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.


but when Israel came up from Egypt, and walked through the wilderness unto the Red sea, and came to Kadesh;
